When you choose us for your outdoor project, you’re not only investing in a high-quality deck, pergola, patio, or other outdoor structure; you’re also ensuring long-lasting peace of mind through our comprehensive warranty.
What Does the Warranty Cover?
Kingstruction offers a Lifetime Transferable Workmanship Warranty that covers all labor and workmanship associated with the construction of your project. This includes:
- Framing
- Decking
- Railing and stair installation
- Demolition and preparation work
- Roofing
This warranty ensures that our craftsmanship remains free from defects for the lifetime of the original homeowner. It is designed to protect your investment by covering all structural aspects of the work we do, excluding material failures, which are typically covered under the product manufacturer’s warranty.
Warranty Transferability
One of the unique features of our warranty is that it is transferable to the next homeowner, adding value to your property. The warranty can be transferred once upon the sale of your home, provided:
- Written notification is sent to Kingstruction within 30 days of the property transfer.
- The warranty will not reset or extend, and it remains under the original terms.
How Do I Activate My Warranty?
There is no need to register for your warranty. It automatically becomes active once the project is complete and full payment is received. You’re protected from day one, without any additional steps required.
Claiming a Warranty
If you discover an issue covered by our warranty, here’s the simple claim process:
- Submit a written notice via email to: matt@king-struction.com.
- Provide a detailed description of the issue you’re experiencing.
- Claims must be submitted within 60 days of discovering the problem.
Kingstruction reserves the right to conduct an on-site inspection or involve a third-party professional to assess the issue. All decisions regarding warranty eligibility are made at Kingstruction’s sole discretion.
What Does the Warranty Not Cover?
While our warranty covers a wide range of construction-related issues, there are a few exceptions:
- Improper maintenance, neglect, or misuse by the homeowner
- Acts of vandalism, fire, flood, or other unforeseen natural events
- Alterations or repairs not performed by Kingstruction
- Natural expansion and contraction of materials
- Cosmetic issues, such as surface appearance, fading, or paint wear
Shifting or settling will only be covered if it poses a safety concern or creates an unacceptable cosmetic defect, as confirmed by both Kingstruction and an independent third party.
Repair Terms
If your claim is valid, Kingstruction will:
- Repair or replace the defective workmanship at no cost to the homeowner.
- Complete repairs within a reasonable timeframe.
Please note that warranty repairs do not renew or extend the original warranty period.
Limitation of Liability
Kingstruction’s liability under this warranty is limited to the original contract price. We are not responsible for consequential, incidental, or special damages, such as loss of property value, emotional distress, or any other costs outside of the contract.
Dispute Resolution
In case of any disagreements regarding the warranty:
- Mediation will be the first step to resolve the issue.
- If mediation fails, the matter will be settled through binding arbitration in the state of Ohio.
Acknowledgment and Acceptance
By accepting this warranty, the homeowner acknowledges that:
- They’ve read and understood all the terms outlined in this warranty.
- The warranty supersedes any oral agreements or representations.
- Product warranties from manufacturers are separate and are solely offered by them.
